“Honky Tonk Bowling” Draws Record Crowd
More than 300 people turned out for Olive Crest’s 13th annual bowling event in the Inland Empire, which featured a western theme. The record-setting crowd wore their finest cowboy gear and western garb for the “Honky Tonk Bowling” event at Arlington Lanes in Riverside.
A new twist this year that built on the honky tonk theme was a custom-built “jail” complete with a sheriff. Attendees had a lot of fun paying to have their friends thrown in “jail.” Other activities included line dancing, great food, and, of course, bowling.
The highlight of the evening was an Olive Crest foster family sharing their journey with their adorable foster daughter, whose smile and laughter melted the audience.
Special honors went to Toyota of Riverside for its 24 years of supporting Olive Crest, which was recognized with an embroidered bowling shirt and decaled bowling pin. Olive Crest thanks all of its wonderful sponsors for helping make this a successful and fun evening: Toyota of Riverside, Hub International, Mangione McDonald’s, Gar Laboratories Inc., Custom Service Systems, RivCo Wealth Management, Gresham Savage Nolan & Tilden PC, Varner & Brandt LLP, Spiel Family McDonald’s, Security Bank, Gless Ranch, West Coast Electrical Contractors, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, and Pechanga Resort & Casino.
We also thank all of our magnificent volunteers who spent countless hours of their time to ensure this event’s success and all our generous vendors who donated items for our baskets. We can’t wait until next year’s bowling event.
