Olive Crest Youth Journey “Under the Sea”
At the start of April, the Family Resource Center of Olive Crest in Los Angeles took families on a spectacular experience over the course of several days. Nineteen children were given the opportunity to journey “under the sea,” beginning with an arts and crafts session where kids created jellyfish, portraits, and many other pieces. Another day involved movies relating to their under-the-sea experience; the children gathered with plenty of popcorn and joined Dory and Marlin in their search for Nemo, with Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo. The great under-the-sea adventure concluded with a trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, where kids touched stingrays, and watched sharks getting fed, penguins dancing, and sea otters splashing in the water. What a trip!
